How does this group work?
The Scotland Ski Touring group on Oak allows you to connect and meet with other likeminded skiers and snowboarders in the region. You can discuss and plan community ski meet ups, ski tours, join guided backcountry tours and avalanche courses. We provide you with every feature of a winter ski forum - and more!
How do I join?
To join the Scotland ski touring community, just download Oak on the App Store or Play Store. The ski/snowboard community group is open and therefore anyone can join and get involved. Just search 'Scotland' in the group tab, find the group, and click 'join'.
Why is this better than a Facebook group?
Why 'reinvent the wheel'? Not quite - the app allows you to see prospective partners' logbook history (if they have previously completed tours on Oak) and every activity is verified by adding a conditions report which anyone can view. The community has is active throughout the UK and particularly the Alps, so you can be part of a larger community, finding partners worldwide.
