Hi, I’m Nikolai. I am a skier, filmmaker, and Oak ambassador.
I make ski films that are not just about skiing fast and looking good. They are about the whole story. The weather that did not play ball, the lines that scared me, the mistakes I made, and the little moments that make it all worth it.
The mountains are my playground, my office, and sometimes my teacher. I try to ride them with respect, tell honest stories, and hopefully inspire people to get outside and find their own adventures, big or small.

Hi, I’m Dave and I’m an ambassador and founder for Oak.

I’m an IFMGA mountain guide who’s happiest when I’m moving through the mountains. Skis on my feet, ropes in my pack, or a paraglider ready to launch. I spend my time guiding, exploring, and chasing adventures with good people. Some days that means powder turns. Other days it’s a big alpine route or a quick blast on the bike.
For me, it’s all about sharing the experience, showing people what’s possible, and making sure we all get home with a smile on our face and maybe a good story to tell.

Hoi, I’m Linda, a Dutch who escaped to the mountains! After a few years of traveling, I visited Chamonix for the first time and immediately fell in love. 

Now I spend most of my time here and in Switzerland.

My favourite mountain activity is trail running but I am also a big fan of skiing, road biking, scrambling, swimming, rollerblading, horse riding… One of my goals is to sleep outside so much that I question why I pay my rent :))I’m looking forward to becoming more skilled & experienced in the mountains and to always keep exploring (with big thanks to Oak!).

Hei, I’m Sam.

Originally from Cornwall, where the highest point is only 420m, I was always drawn to real mountains.

A career in food and wine gave me the opportunity to live in the mountains of Australia, New Zealand, and the USA — always with a bike and a pair of skis.

A friend I met in a bike park in Tasmania convinced me to move to Oslo to work as a bike mechanic and ski tech. The access to wilderness, skiing, and biking quickly persuaded me to stay.

From ski touring November to June, to enduro races and multi-day bikepacking trips, often the hardest part is choosing the adventure.

Living in the city, the outdoor community can feel scattered, and it’s not always easy to find solid partners.

That’s why Oak is such a great idea — a way for the mountain community to connect. I’m excited to help build that here in Oslo.

Im Luca born and raised in Bolzano, South Tyrol. I still live here because I have no reason to move atm. I can do every activity without driving much (Dolomites 1 hour, glacier 1.5 hours). 

Main sports are multipitch alpine climbing and skitouring. “Fun” relatable fact is that in skitouring season I don’t want the snow to go away but at the same time in October I don’t want sto stop climbing. 

In skitouring I’m trying to get more comfortable in steep terrain while riding fast, which is hard for me since the first time I saw a pair of skis was 6 years ago.

Hey, I’m Luca, an adventure climbing enthusiast living in Innsbruck, Austria.I spend my time between working with satellite imagery of mountains, and going to these places myself.
My passions go with the seasons, rock and alpine in summer, ski and ice in the winter.
I love going on expeditions to remote parts of the world and have done multiple FA routes in Switzerland, Norway, NZ, Oman.I loved the purpose of OAK from the second I found it and think spending time with good people with similar interests equals life satisfaction!

Hey, I’m Sophie! 😊 

After graduating in 2020, my partner and I spent several years living as winter seasonnaires in the French Alps, where I developed my love for backcountry skiing and winter-based mountaineering. 

Converting our van allowed us to spend our summers climbing in some incredible places including the Dolomites, Verdon Gorge, the Ardeche (and Chamonix of course!). I’ve developed a strong love for mountaineering, enjoying many forms of climbing and mountain-based adventure.

I’m currently based in the UK for the final year of my Physiotherapy Master’s, but I’m out in Chamonix as much as possible, and would love to relocate to the mountains one day!

Hi I'm David. After spending many years working in Finance in London, I decided to leave the industry with a view to following my passion for mountain sports.
I came to Chamonix at the start of 2024 to start thinking about what this might mean for me and have now decided to stay here long term.

My main passions are ski touring in the winter and trad climbing in the summer, however I am now taking every opportunity I can to be outside, be it for these pursuits or others such as trail running or alpinism.

I'm really excited to now be able to spend so much time doing what I love, and really looking forward to all the new experiences and skills I will be gaining along with great new friends and connections.

I've also just acquired my first campervan, so I’m super excited about the freedom and opportunity for exploring this will give me!

I’m Lauri, a 19-year-old finn trying to fit into the herd of local mountain goats in Chamonix.

I have been skiing and hiking my whole life and have turned that into full time mountaineering recently. Hoping to be an IFMGA guide in a few years.

Im always in the mountains or doing some weird side quests, just being myself.

Going to have to study at some point but why do it now when I can always do it tomorrow 🤐

Hi, my name is Bastian, and I'm 16 years old. I recently finished public school and have a passion for the outdoors, especially activities like ski touring and mountaineering. 

Back home in Denmark, I'm a semi-professional climber and a member of the Danish climbing talent group. I enjoy all forms of climbing, from bouldering to lead climbing, and even multipitch routes. 

I love trying out different sports, but Denmark's lack of mountains limits my pursuits. That's why I plan to become a mountain guide and move to Chamonix, where I can fully embrace my passion for the mountains.
