On this course, you will learn the basics of glacier travel and visual navigation, how to form a rope team, and how to perform a buddy rescue from a crevasse. These are essential skills for anyone planning to move through or travel on glaciated terrain. Over the course of two days, you’ll travel on one of the largest glaciers in the Alps, within the Chamonix area. Depending on the season (winter or summer), each day will include glacier travel or ski touring, combined with practical exercises throughout the day. We always choose the exact location and glacier based on the weather and current mountain conditions.
