Winter Climbing on Ben Nevis is world renowned for its 'special' qualities. Storm cycle after storm cycle ploughs into the mountains of the west coast of Scotland, making both the climbing and the experience challenging. The Ice Climbing on Ben Nevis had its place in modern climbing history. It was often used as a training ground for the Alps and higher ranges for British based climbers. Looking to test themselves whilst climbing but also to prepare for the more challenging conditions they may encounter.
