Oak Activity

+ 5 Others
Finally some sun forecast and hopefully a stabilizing snowpack allows more of the mountain to open. We are planning to head out and explore more of the mountain to see what terrain is safely accessible. While we are hoping for a lower avalanche danger level, this will still be an off piste freeride day, requiring good judgement, control, and the ability to adapt to changing conditions throughout the day. This activity is aimed at advanced riders who are comfortable skiing or riding variable snow and navigating complex terrain. Mandatory requirements: - Avalanche transceiver - Probe - Shovel - The knowledge and confidence to use your safety equipment effectively Our objectives will remain flexible as we assess stability and terrain options during the day. Meet Le Chable 8:30; Medran 8:45; Ruinettes 9:00
